b. Sept. 25, 1862 in Cedar Co., Iowa. Married (1) William Hunter, M.D. Nov.
13, 1884 at Axtell, Kansas, after his death she went to Los Angeles, Calif.
where she married (2) Jay N. Taft in 1928. She is a real Christian character,
untiring in her church work as well as socially active, her hobby was china
painting. She has made her home in Long Beach, for several years, her second
husband died Dec. 15, 1938.
