b. April 9, 1864 at Council Bluffs, Ia. Married Agnes Elizabeth Goodchild, at

Council Bluffs, Aug. 10, 1894. He is a graduate of Elliotts Business College,

Burlington, Ia. Was Postmaster at Reels, Ia., and later Justice of the Peace.

Moved to Oregon in the fall of 1900, bought a farm near Canby, where he lived

until his children were ready for High School, then moved to Corvallis. He

united with the Christian Church in 1893 at Council Bluffs. Is a

Prohibitionist-Republican.
